Vee's Bio

I was raised in Miami, FL and can't think of a time when I wasn't playing or writing a song. I've played piano since I was five and picked up guitar at nine and haven't stopped since. I write because I can't afford therapy. Some of my biggest influences are Amy Grant, Peter Gabriel, Cocteau Twins, Radiohead, Cyndi Lauper, Shawn Colvin, kd lang, Ravel and Debussy. If that doesn't cover a few bases... I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue songwriting, am a graduate of Belmont University and have interned with EMI/CMG, Kelley Lovelace and worked at BMI. I've performed at The Bluebird Cafe, The Listening Room, The Commodore, The Good Cup, xM radio, WSM, Hotel Indigo and several local venues in Nashville. I've had several songs considered for film and TV. "It's Up To Me" has been a prospective choice for "The Biggest Loser" three times! We're still crossing our fingers on that one. This is a promising year and I will have new songs posted in a few months. Currently, I am a signed writer with Stray Star Music and am grateful for the wonderful writers I'm working with and for a life that continually unfolds in unexpected ways. Vee's past recordings include: 5 song EP engineered and produced by Steve Antonelli at Calvin Road Studios in Nashville. 7 song EP at Mercy Sound in NYC with producer/engineer, Steve Antonelli, performing with Joe Paris. Full length album "ReachingYou" recorded with her band. Engineered and produced by Marc Killian at Fat Cat Sound in Wilmington, NC. www.myspace.com/veemusic
